 About the Role

Our client currently has a vacancy for a Solicitor, 2-5 years, to join the Intellectual Property and Technology team, based in Brisbane.

The nature of the work will include:

• IT and technology contracting
• General commercial contracting
• GITC contracting
• Government and private procurement for large projects
• Acting for leading Australian corporate such as Microsoft and Telstra
• Working closely with a team in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice group to provide specialist input on significant transactions

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Intellectual property experience (a positive)
• A general commercial background and an interest in technology
• First rate experience in drafting documents (including agreements, licences, memorandums of advice)
• Contract experience and an interest in IPT
• Excellent analytical, communication and research skills
• The ability to deliver prompt and commercially astute advice
• A strong commitment to client service
• A team focus
• Enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities
• The ability to present at industry related programs and being involved in strategic relationships and networks
