About the Role

Our client currently has a vacancy for a Banking & Finance Associate to join their team based in Hong Kong.

The nature of the work will include:

• Advising leading financial institutions and corporate on a broad range of debt, structured finance and restructuring transactions, acting for both borrows and lenders.
• Working with one of the leading lender-led teams in the region with a strong practice in China, Hong Kong and India.
• High profile and substantial projects in particular for major Chinese funders in relation to world-class infrastructure and other transactions

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

• 2-5 years PQE of syndicated loans, project finance and acquisition finance
• Hong Kong qualification however Australia, NZ or the UK will be considered
• Fluent written and spoken business Cantonese, Mandarin and English
• Strong academic background
• The ability to grasp complex legal concepts, excellent drafting skills and the ability to communicate complex legal advice to clients.
• The ability to act as a mentor and work as part of a team
• A high level of personal integrity and be prepared to go the extra mile for the firm
