Associate/Senior Associate IPT, based in Melbourne

Are you confident, have commercial acumen and the ability to work autonomy and as part of a growing IPT team? If you are also either an Associate or Senior Associate with a minimum of 4 years experience, then this mid-sized law firm is waiting to hear from you.

About the Role

Our client currently has a vacancy for an Associate/Senior Associate IPT, preferably with a minimum of 4 years experience to join their growing IPT team, based in Melbourne.

The nature of the work will include:

  • Focussing on Non-Contentious Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law
  • Information technology contracts
  • IP licensing
  • Commercialisation contracts

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A minimum of four years experience working in intellectual property and/or technology law
  • Experience in Information technology and telecommunications contracts, software licensing agreements and support agreements, services legal and hosting agreements, Online services terms and conditions
  • Intellectual property licensing and commercialisation contracts experience
  • Research/collaboration contracts experience
  • Experience in General Intellectual Property advisory work with a high degree of commercial aptitude
  • Strong written communication/legal drafting skills with the ability to be use initiative and be resourceful
  • A commitment to client service delivery, ability to work in a team environment with flexibility and a strong work ethic
  • The ability to participate in and initiate business development and marketing activities
